Congress plays politics with human trafficking and Hillary Clinton is not impressed

Democrats have halted the human trafficking bill because of a provision

in it that prevents victims of human trafficking from using restitution money to have an abortion. The bill would create a "Domestic Trafficking Victims’ Fund” that brings in money from fines from related crimes, and money would go to victims, but includes references that the money not be used for women who have been victims of trafficking to get an abortion. The White House seems to be equally as frustrated at the move by Republicans to delay the vote to confirm Lynch's nomination. Press Secretary Josh Earnest called the failure to confirm Lynch's nomination "an unconscionable delay," pointing out that President Obama nominated her for the position 128 days ago.
